We all knew this day would come; it did on September 08, 02025!
We awoke to expect Howard and Robin to be on at 7 a.m. EST, but instead, we were welcomed by the new show to replace the Howard Stern show!
Andy Cohen announced, “Good morning, everybody. I know this is not the voice you expected to hear. This is not the voice you probably wanted to hear, but I, Andy Cohen, and this is our first day broadcasting on Andy 100,” Cohen began. “I know that you’re expecting a big announcement from Howard … I don’t know how much I’m allowed to say except he’s not here and I am.”
While we all picked up our jaws from the ground and the phone lines were burning up the wires, some called expressing the anger and frustration that Howard was not allowed to say goodbye. Andy quickly let callers know there would still be lots of talk on Andy 100 about Real Housewives, among other shows, which Andy liked as much as Howard.
But after about 10 minutes, Howard came online to let everyone know that they could keep their Sirius radio subscriptions a little longer, and this was an elaborate hoax.
Multiple media outlets, including CNBC, Variety and the Associated Press, reported that Stern was leaving the radio network.
On the news that Howard was leaving, Sirius shares fell 2% in trading, but seem to have recovered.
